Transportation

Bus and Metrocards

Transportation is provided by NYC DOE–Department of Pupil Transportation for residents of NYC Only. (Scroll down for Nassau County busing options.) Students are eligible for transportation services based on their distance from school and their grade. Stop locations are governed by the NYC DOE.

If your child is attending OLS in grades Kindergarten through 6th, they may ride the NYC yellow school bus. Students in grades 7th and 8th are no longer eligible to ride the yellow school bus but may be eligible for an NYC MetroCard.

If you would like to arrange for the NYC Yellow School Bus or MetroCard Transportation for your child for the 2023-24 school year, please complete this Google form.
