Principal’s Letter December 2022

Dear Parents,

Our Scholastic Book Sale will be held from December 5 through 9. The students will be able to shop as a class during the day. The Book Sale will be open during parent/teacher conferences on December 7. Please take this opportunity to allow your child to purchase books. Books make great Christmas gifts!

The annual Christmas Shop is coming. Your child can purchase small gifts that they choose for grandma, grandpa, siblings and surprise mom and dad too. The children will shop with their class on Monday, December 19. Look out for more details as we get closer.

The winner of our Christmas Raffle will be drawn on Tuesday, December 20 at the Christmas Show. We encourage all parents to consider buying a ticket or two to help support our school. If you would like to take a chance, please purchase by Monday, December 19th. Printable raffle tickets can be found on the school website (olscafp.org). The winners will be drawn on Tuesday evening and will be and will be announced in the Church bulletin and on the school website.

If you shop Amazon.com, begin your Christmas shopping through Smile.Amazon.Com. Register our School as your charitable organization and Amazon will give back to us. Also, remember you may purchase gift cards through the school office. Please check the school website for a list of gift cards available. Again, thanks for your support.

Report card conferences will be December 7. Please make every effort to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss your student’s progress and report card.

A small note that the calendar on FACTS is currently only for hot lunch orders. The updated version of the school calendar is on the school website.

In the event of inclement weather, please refer to the school website to see if the school will be closed. You will also be receiving a text and email through the parent alert system. The diocesan office will have announcements on WCBS/880 AM or WINS/1010 AM if all schools in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn are closed.

Our Lady of the Snows Parish is turning 75 years old!! Beginning in January 2023, there will be a year of celebration with concerts, special presentations, Anniversary Masses, and much more.

We wish everyone a Blessed Christmas and Healthy New Year!

Respectfully,

Joseph Venticinque, Principal
