To learn how to set up your official OLS School Issued Chromebook please read below or download instructions here.
Step 1 – Open your box that you were issued and make sure you were provided with your device, charger, and a sprint card as shown in the photo below.
The Sprint card will not be needed and can be trashed with all of the other packaging material.
The box you were provided with, you can either trash it or keep it if it is easier for you when we do device collection in June.
Step 2 – Connect your charger pieces and plug in the device to prepare to power on.
Step 3 – Turn on your device by hitting the power button on the top right side of the keyboard.
Step 4 – When you turn it on it will ask you to connect to WiFi, for the first connection in order to activate the device, please hit Sprint.
*Please note you can connect to your home WiFi after initial setup and we will handle connecting the devices to the OLS WiFi when the students are in school.
Step 5 – When the Sprint screen appears you will get an image like this, just click connect.
Step 6 – Once you see it has connected, just hit the exit button at the top right-hand corner.
Step 7 – Sign into the device with your OLS email and password.
*All devices must be fully charged coming into school each day. Please have the children take both the device and charger to and from school just in case of an emergency.
