Dear Parents,
During these difficult times, we are reminded of the power of prayer. As Christians, we believe strongly in the healing power of prayer. Prayer is talking with God.
We begin the season of Lent with Ash Wednesday, February 17th. Lent is a season of reflection and preparation before the celebrations of Easter. By observing the 40 days of Lent, Christians replicate Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. We would like to include the special prayers and intentions of all our students and families in our daily offering to God.
It is important, especially now, that we continue to pray together as a school and parish community. Making prayer more personal will foster a closer relationship for all of us with God. With all of that in mind, we encourage you to add the name of anyone in your family or a friend who may need special prayers at this time. Please add their name to our virtual prayer chain found on the school website at https://olscafp.org/prayer-chain/.
We continue to pray for everyone’s health and safety during this crisis. Together with our faith, love and hope, we will get through this.
Respectfully,
Joseph Venticinque
Principal
